Municipal Baseball Park

Location: Aberdeen, SD
S. State Street, on the Northern State College campus.
Capacity: 4,500 (1939); 5,000 (1946); 4,500 (1949); 4,000 (1951)

Built in 1936 by the WPA, the ballpark suffered a major fire on August 3, 1951. Temporary bleachers enabled the team to finish the season. A new grandstand, $65,000 bond issue, was completed in time for the 1952 season. The grandstand was torn down in the 1970's, but the diamond is still used by Northern State College.
