Opened April 6, 1932, Tingley Field, was named for Mayor Clyde Tingley and built with a $10,900 WPA grant. The catcher faced NE. The Mayor tossed the first ball on opening day, when the home team scored a 43-14 triumph in a game highlighted by 50-60 mph wind gusts.
