A 1926 map shows a grandstand extending almost to the RF fence, but only behind home on the 3B side. A large bleacher section ran from the grandstand almost to the LF fence; a smaller bleacher section in right ran between the long grandstand and the RF fence. The catcher faced south. A 1950 map shows the park with the grandstand on the 3B side extended slightly. All the bleacher sections were gone. The park was destroyed by a tornado on May 11, 1953, causing Waco to move to Longview, TX. In another first, on June 20, 1930, Katy Park became the only Texas League park with lights. Bleachers were rebuilt and improvements made to the Grandstand in 1910, when Waco was a spring training site.
