Hanlan's Point

Fans took a ferry to the games at Hanlan's Point. The oval park burned in 1909, but was rebuilt, and renamed Maple Leaf Park. Babe Ruth, pitching for Providence that day, hit his first professional home run (and only minor league home run) here in 1914.
