Ferris Field was named for a former Spokane ballplayer who was known as the "granddaddy of baseball in Spokane." The catcher faced east. The seating consisted of three steel bleacher sections with wooden walks and seats in the home plate area, and wooden bleacher sections along both foul lines. The stadium has been upgraded many times.
