San Benito Base Ball Park
Location: San Benito, TXN. Fannin & W. Heywood Street, next to the Hondo River.
A 1930 map shows the ball park next to the Central Power & Light Company pumping station and filtration plant. Several cotton gin companies were within a two-block radius of the park. A 1944 map shows the same ballpark with a slightly relocated grandstand of about the same size as the original. The Hondo River empties into the Gulf of Mexico.
