Bay Street Park

Location: Rochester, NY
South side of Bay Street, east of Webster Avenue. Parkside Avenue bordered the South end of the park.
Capacity: 11,000 (1910); 9,500 (1928); largest crowd 16,550 (1928)

A 1911 map shows a bleacher enlargement in 1910 raised capacity to 11,000. The park had a deep grandstand and a large bleacher section extending to the fence in RF. There was a smaller bleacher section down the LF line. The clubhouse keeper's dwelling flanked the grandstand in left. A lunch stand and a horse shed stood outside the park. The catcher faced about due east. Babe Ruth hit the only ball to pass over the scoreboard in an exhibition game.
