The catcher faced SW. Park named for John Gerig, manager of team in 1920's. The WPA-built stadium was completed in 1939. Spring training home for minor league clubs including Milwaukee Brewers & Boston Red Sox farm teams. Stadium torn down in 1993, but the playing field still exists.
