Built as a football stadium in 1922, Municipal Stadium hosted the Orioles after fire destroyed Oriole Park. The park had a short LF porch because of its football configuration. Municipal Stadium seated 55,000, allowing the Orioles set an International League attendance record, that still stands. The park was torn down in 1950 when Memorial Stadium was built in its place.
