Opened April 13, 2007, Dow Diamond was named the Best New Ballpark of 2007 by Baseball Digest. It was the first Minor League stadium using solar power. Thanks to Dow Corning and Hemlock Semiconductor, the Dow Diamond scoreboard is powered by the solar panels located beyond the RF concourse.
