The catcher faced SW. The park was named for the owners of the Wennonah Cotton Mill, W. E. Holt and J. V. Moffit. The ballpark had been used for textile league games, and they offered to donate the park if the city would build a stadium. With the help of WPA money, the park was completed for the 1938 season. A high bank rose in LF with a fence at the top. It caused considerable difficulty for outfielders.
