Joker Marchant Stadium, named for the late Park and Recreation Director Joker Marchant, was built in 1966 at a cost of $500,000. The all-concrete grandstand of the stadium was built by the City of Lakeland at a cost of $500,000 and originally seated 4,900 spectators. In the early 1970s, expansion projects brought the stadium's capacity to 7,100. The stadium underwent an $11 million renovation project in 2003.
