Clark Field was built in 1954 on the site of a garbage dump and a small lake. The park was steel and concrete, with a roof over most of the grandstand and corrugated tin fences. It was also used as a football stadium with football stands in straight away CF which made for unusual dimensions. For many years it was the home baseball field for the Raijun Cajuns of SW Louisiana. The facility was torn down in 2000.
