Piedmont Park
Location: Atlanta, GA10th Street & Piedmont Avenue.
Capacity: 1,000 (1902), 2,000 (1904)
The park had smoking sections, but was too small for the huge crowds who wanted to see the Crackers in the Southern Association. Piedmont Park was built in 1896 at the Exposition Grounds. The initial capacity was just 1,000; even after expansion in 1904, it remained inadequate for weekend crowds.
