Mainland's Park
Also Known As: Robal Park 1920-1924Location: Hannibal, MO
Market Street in Oakwood (2 1/2 miles from Hannibal).
Mainland's Park was named for John Mainland, who owned the Hannibal Electric Company. The park was next to Bear Creek, which overflowed often. On August 15, 1916, nearly four inches of rain fell on Hannibal, and the park was nearly engulfed. The park was restored, and used for one more year of minor league baseball, before housing independent league baseball in the early 1920's. Robal is Labor spelled backwards.
Used by: Hannibal Cannibals, Hannibal Mules
