The Milwaukee Wave of the National Professional Soccer League ended the 1997-98 season with a record of 28 wins and 12 losses in the NPSL's Central Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 9-2.
The Wave scored 303 goals and conceded 248. Michael King netted 52 goals for Milwaukee, while Pat White, Tarik Walker, Mike Richardson, Steve Morris, Obi Moneme, Emeka Moneme, Peter Hattrup and Todd Dusosky each tallied fifteen or more, too. Mike Richardson recorded 42 assists. Victor Nogueira topped the squad with 22 wins and a team-best 5.56 goals against average, leading regular keepers.
