The Admirals scored 354 goals and allowed 371. Doug Robb netted 45 goals for Milwaukee, while Michel Bergeron, Danny Lecours, Fred Berry and Claude St. Sauveur each tallied 30 or more also. Fred Berry contributed 71 assists. Rich Sirois topped the squad with 19 wins and a team-best 4.46 goals against average, pacing goaltenders with enough qualifying appearances.

Nelson LeClair and Phil Wittliff coached the team. The 1980-81 Milwaukee Admirals lost in the in 1st Round of the playoffs.
