The St. Petersburg Saints of the Florida State League ended the 1961 season with a record of 67 wins and 75 losses, finishing third in the FSL.

The Saints scored 653 runs and surrendered 683 runs. Dick Sims recorded 65 runs batted in. William Meyer led all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .276 average. Jon Nelson topped the squad with 12 wins, while Al Malkasian recorded a 3.26 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.

Tom Metcalf played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the St. Petersburg Saints to do so.

Bob Bauer served as manager.
