1953 Sacramento Solons Roster

The Sacramento Solons of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1953 season with a record of 75 wins and 105 losses, finishing eighth in the PCL.

The Solons scored 682 runs, worst in the league, and allowed 762 runs. Joe Brovia led Sacramento with 20 home runs Nippy Jones drove in 102 runs. Bob Dillinger paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .366 clip. Chet Johnson and Marino Pieretti topped the squad with 12 wins each, while Ken Gables recorded a 3.01 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Milo Candini, Neill Sheridan, Hank Schenz, Eddie Bockman, Jesse Flores, Charley Schanz, Bob Dillinger, Richie Myers, Herman Besse, Ray Dandridge, Chuck Essegian, Chet Johnson, Joe Brovia, John Ritchey, Nippy Jones, Vinnie Smith, Ken Gables and Marino Pieretti were all players from the 1953 Sacramento Solons who played in the Majors during their careers.
