The Artesia Giants of the Sophomore League ended the 1959 season with a record of 50 wins and 75 losses, finishing fifth in the SL.

The Giants plated 658 runs, worst in the circuit, and allowed 852 runs. Mike DeRosa paced Artesia with 18 home runs, and Ronald Phifer walloped 15 or more, too. Mike DeRosa drove in 76 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .286. Anselmo Correa led the team with 15 wins and a team-best 3.53 earned run average, leading hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Coco Laboy played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Artesia Giants to do so.

Jodie Phipps served as manager.
