Roger Repoz paced Yakult with 27 home runs and drove in 70 runs, while leading batters with significant playing time by hitting .292. Takeshi Yasuda topped the team with 16 wins, and Hiromu Matsuoka registered a 2.33 earned run average, leading regularly-used pitchers.
Roger Repoz played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Yakult Swallows to do so.
