The Mets led the league with 774 runs, spearheaded by 148 home runs. Visalia allowed 702 runs. Ike Hampton paced the team with 21 home runs, while Benny Ayala, Ronnie Collins and Greg Harts each walloped 15 or more, too. Ike Hampton drove in 77 runs. Greg Harts topped hitters with significant playing time with a .286 average. Rick Baldwin and Cecil Reynolds paced the squad with 12 wins each, and Richard Wagener registered a 3.47 earned run average, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
