The Takahashi Unions of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1954 season with a record of 53 wins and 84 losses, finishing sixth in the JPPL.
The Unions scored 440 runs and surrendered 594 runs. Sal Recca led Takahashi with 23 home runs and recorded 67 runs batted in. Kazuo Kasahara paced hitters with significant playing time by hitting .290. Yoshihiko Taki topped the team with 16 wins, while Takeshi Nomura also added 15 or more wins also Yoshihiko Taki registered a 2.2 earned run average, best among qualifying pitchers. Shinji Hamasaki served as manager.
