The Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League ended the 2006 season with a record of 91 wins and 53 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division of the Pacific Conference.

The Sidewinders scored 844 runs, most in the league. Tucson conceded 627 runs. Scott Hairston led the squad with 26 home runs, while Robby Hammock, Brian Barden, Chris Young and Chris Carter each walloped 15 or more also. Chris Carter drove in 97 runs. Alberto Callaspo paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .337 clip. Dustin Nippert topped the squad with 13 wins, and Édgar González registered a 3.91 earned run average, tops among regular hurlers.
