The Toei Flyers of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1972 season with a record of 63 wins and 61 losses, finishing fourth in the JPPL.
The Flyers scored 595 runs, most in the league. Toei yielded 546 runs. Katsuo Osugi walloped 40 home runs for the team, while Isao Harimoto, In-cheon Paek and Toshizo Sakamoto each swatted 15 or more as well. Katsuo Osugi drove in 101 runs. Isao Harimoto led all regular batters with a .358 average. Tomehiro Kaneda topped the squad with 20 wins and a team-best 3.24 earned run average, tops among regular hurlers.
Bob Christian played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Toei Flyers to do so.
