The Tucson Cowboys of the Arizona-Texas League ended the 1954 season with a record of 64 wins and 76 losses, finishing fifth in the AAL.

The Cowboys scored 1004 runs and allowed 1010 runs. Dick Hogan walloped 45 home runs for Tucson, while Rob Murphy and Donald Jordan added 15 or more as well. Dick Hogan drove in 149 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .360. Ralph Buckingham and Don Cantrell led the squad with 13 wins each, and Gene Hayden recorded a 4.66 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Gene Hayden played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Tucson Cowboys to do so.

Don Jameson served as manager.
