The San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1953 season with a record of 91 wins and 89 losses, finishing fifth in the PCL.

The Seals scored 733 runs and allowed 711 runs. Al Lyons led San Francisco with 22 home runs, while Frank Kalin and Jerry Zuvela walloped 15 or more as well. Sam Vico recorded 93 runs batted in. Reno Cheso paced all regular batters by connecting at a .297 clip. Elmer Singleton topped the team with 15 wins, and Bob Muncrief recorded a 2.68 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
