The Rebels led the circuit with 657 runs. Salem surrendered 593 runs. Chuck Howard paced the squad with 27 home runs, while Dave Arrington and Johnny Jeter walloped 15 or more, too. Chuck Howard drove in 94 runs. Wilbert Hammond topped all regular hitters with a .307 average. Dick Hendrix paced the squad with 11 wins, and Bob Settle recorded a 2.92 ERA, leading qualifying pitchers.
