The Captains scored 595 runs and gave up 679 runs. Rick Richardson paced Shreveport with 20 home runs, while Gary Martz and Sixto Lezcano walloped 15 or more as well. Sixto Lezcano drove in 90 runs and topped batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .293 clip. Tom Hausman and Kevin Kobel led the squad with 12 wins each, and Kevin Kobel recorded a 3.4 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.
