The Southern Oregon A's of the Northwest League ended the 1989 season with a record of 45 wins and 30 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The A's topped the league with just 343 runs allowed. Southern Oregon scored 432 runs. Craig Paquette led the team with 14 home runs Fred Cooley drove in 62 runs. Craig Paquette paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .336 clip. Darin Kracl paced the squad with 10 wins, while Pedro Pena recorded a 2.7 ERA, best among regular hurlers.

Johnny Guzman, Marcos Armas, Dana Allison, Henry Mercedes, Kurt Abbott, Steve Chitren, Scott Lydy and Craig Paquette were all players from the 1989 Southern Oregon A's who played in the Majors during their careers.
