The Rutherford County Owls of the Western Carolina League ended the 1960 season with a record of 43 wins and 57 losses, finishing sixth in the WCL.
The Owls plated 468 runs and gave up 509 runs. George Ferrell and Gary Cowan each recorded 36 runs batted in. Russell Buhite paced all regular hitters with a .303 average. Ray Searcy topped the team with 14 wins and a team-best 2.67 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances. Jim Poole, Raymond Walsh and Leonard Jackson served as manager.
