The Raleigh-Durham Mets of the Carolina League ended the 1968 season with a record of 83 wins and 56 losses, finishing first in the league's East Division.

The Raleigh- Mets scored 561 runs and conceded 468 runs. Leroy Stanton led Durham with 12 home runs and drove in 75 runs, while leading all regular batters by connecting at a .266 clip. Charlie Hudson topped the team with 16 wins, and Russell Seals recorded a 1.83 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.
