The Capitals scored 724 runs and surrendered 663 runs. George Lewis led Raleigh with 17 home runs, and Carl Yastrzemski walloped 15 or more also. Carl Yastrzemski accounted for 100 RBI and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .377. Bill Spanswick paced the team with 15 wins and a team-best 2.49 earned run average, tops among qualifying pitchers.
