The Quad Cities Angels of the Midwest League ended the 1971 season with a record of 68 wins and 56 losses, finishing second in the league's South Division.

The Angels scored 542 runs and conceded 527 runs. Sam Ashford led Quad Cities with 17 home runs and drove in 74 runs. Paul Dade topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .321 clip. Terry Tuley and Sid Monge paced the squad with 12 wins each, while Sid Monge earned a 2.4 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
