The Peninsula Grays of the Carolina League ended the 1968 season with a record of 75 wins and 65 losses, finishing third in the league's East Division.

The Grays scored 594 runs and gave up 549 runs. Bobby Brooks led Peninsula with 26 home runs, while Pete Koegel and Gene Tenace walloped 15 or more also. Bobby Brooks drove in 75 runs. Gonzalo Márquez paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .311. Greg Conger topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 1.76 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.
