The Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1954 season with a record of 71 wins and 94 losses, finishing eighth in the PCL.

The Beavers scored 625 runs, worst in the league, and surrendered 693 runs. Wally Judnich paced Portland with 18 home runs, and Fletcher Robbe walloped 15 or more also. Wally Judnich drove in 81 runs and topped all regular batters by hitting .272. Glenn Elliott led the squad with 12 wins, while Dick Waibel recorded a 2.8 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Jesse Flores, George Lerchen, Jay Heard, Frankie Austin, Carl Scheib, Hank Arft, Don Kolloway, Dewey Adkins, Bob Alexander, Al Porto, Herman Reich, Joe Rossi, Rocky Krsnich, Wally Judnich, Red Adams, Jim Gladd, Glenn Elliott, Eddie Basinski and Dino Restelli were all players from the 1954 Portland Beavers who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
