Yozo Nagabuchi topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .295. Keishi Suzuki paced the squad with 21 wins, while Koichiro Sasaki added 15 or more victories also Koichiro Sasaki registered a 2.05 earned run average, tops among qualifying pitchers. Osamu Mihara served as manager.
