The Kintetsu Buffaloes scored 465 runs and conceded 567 runs, most in the circuit. Carl Boles walloped 31 home runs for Osaka, while Masahiro Doi swatted 15 or more, too. Masahiro Doi drove in 93 runs and topped batters with significant playing time by hitting .323. Keishi Suzuki led the squad with 21 wins and a team-best 2.77 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Carl Boles played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes to do so.

Akitoshi Kodama served as manager.
