The Vols scored 712 runs and allowed 820 runs, most in the circuit. Cliff Cook led Nashville with 19 home runs, while Ev Joyner and Ultus Alvarez walloped 15 or more also. Cliff Cook drove in 76 runs. Ev Joyner topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .307. Jim Maloney paced the team with 14 wins and a team-best 2.79 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.
