Osamu Higashio topped the team with 18 wins, plus Hajime Kato, too added 15 or more wins, too Akira Tanaka recorded a 2.39 ERA, leading regular hurlers.

Aaron Pointer played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Nishitetsu Lions to do so.
