Carl Boles paced Nishitetsu with 28 home runs, while Masashi Takenouchi, Aaron Pointer and Mitsuo Motoi each walloped 15 or more, too. Aaron Pointer drove in 67 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .260. Akira Kawahara led the squad with 13 wins, and Satoru Miwa recorded a 2.92 ERA, leading regular hurlers.

Aaron Pointer and Carl Boles both played in Major League Baseball during their careers.
