The Monterrey Sultanes of the Mexican League ended the 2005 season with a record of 56 wins and 50 losses, finishing third in the league's North Division.

The Sultanes tallied 579 runs and allowed 622 runs. Bubba Smith paced Monterrey with 21 home runs, while Edgar Quintero walloped 15 or more also. Edgar Quintero accounted for 70 RBI. Demond Smith led all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .333 clip. P. J. Ochoa topped the team with 9 wins, and Isabel Giron recorded a 3.79 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
