The Mexico City Diablos Rojos of the Mexican League ended the 2000 season with a record of 70 wins and 47 losses, finishing second in the league's Central Division.

The Diablos Rojos led the league with 854 runs, fueled by 212 home runs. Mexico City surrendered 684 runs. Ray Martinez walloped 37 home runs for the squad, while Iván Cruz, Jose Luis Sandoval, Pedro Castellano, Corey Powell, Miguel Ojeda and Rudy Pemberton each added 15 or more also. Ray Martinez drove in 113 runs. Rudy Pemberton paced all regular batters by hitting .333. Ángel Moreno topped the squad with 13 wins, and Claudio Moreno registered a 4.59 earned run average, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
