The Meridian Millers of the Cotton States League ended the 1954 season with a record of 62 wins and 56 losses, finishing third in the CSL.
The Millers scored 710 runs and gave up 659 runs. Vernon Shetler led Meridian with 17 home runs and accounted for 118 RBI. Gene Pompelia paced all regular hitters by hitting .330. Tom Jayne topped the squad with 20 wins, while Harold Cottle added 15 or more wins, too Tom Jayne earned a 2.73 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances. Tod Davis served as manager.
