The Lakewood BlueClaws of the South Atlantic League ended the 2009 season with a record of 78 wins and 58 losses, finishing second in the league's Northern Division.

The BlueClaws plated 588 runs and allowed 572 runs. Jim Murphy paced Lakewood with 14 home runs Travis d'Arnaud accounted for 71 RBI. Harold Garcia led hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .291 clip. Jesus Sanchez topped the squad with 10 wins, while Justin De Fratus registered a 3.19 earned run average, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
