The Kokutetsu Swallows of the Japan Central League ended the 1959 season with a record of 63 wins and 65 losses, finishing fourth in the JPCL.
The Swallows scored 422 runs and allowed 491 runs. Jun Hakota led Kokutetsu with 11 home runs Yukihiko Machida accounted for 50 RBI. Tokuji Iida paced all regular batters by connecting at a .296 clip. Masaichi Kaneda topped the squad with 21 wins, while Yoshio Kitagawa added 15 or more victories also Yoshio Kitagawa registered a 2.51 earned run average, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound. Mitsuo Uno served as manager.
