The Hanshin Tigers of the Japan Central League ended the 1974 season with a record of 57 wins and 64 losses, finishing fourth in the JPCL.
The Tigers plated 457 runs and conceded 498 runs. Koichi Tabuchi walloped 45 home runs for Hanshin, and Taira Fujita added 15 or more, too. Koichi Tabuchi accounted for 95 RBI. Taira Fujita led all regular batters by hitting .302. Kenji Furusawa topped the team with 15 wins, while Yutaka Enatsu recorded a 2.74 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
Bob Taylor played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Hanshin Tigers to do so.
