The Hankyu Braves of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1980 season with a record of 58 wins and 67 losses, finishing fifth in the JPPL.

The Braves plated 647 runs and allowed 731 runs. Koji Minoda walloped 31 home runs for Hankyu, while Hideji Kato, Yutaka Fukumoto, Robert Marcano, Kinji Shimatani and Bernie Williams each swatted 15 or more, too. Hideji Kato drove in 97 runs. Yutaka Fukumoto paced all regular hitters with a .321 average. Hisashi Yamada topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 2.97 earned run average, leading regular hurlers.

Bernie Williams played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Hankyu Braves to do so.

Takao Kajimoto served as manager.
