The Hankyu Braves of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1968 season with a record of 80 wins and 50 losses, finishing first in the JPPL.
The Braves gave up 439 runs, the lowest total in the circuit. Hankyu plated 538 runs. Atsushi Nagaike walloped 30 home runs for the team, while Daryl Spencer, Koji Okamura, Tadayoshi Okuma and Kiyoshi Yano each swatted 15 or more, too. Atsushi Nagaike accounted for 79 RBI. Tadayoshi Okuma paced batters with significant playing time with a .285 average.
