The Hankyu Braves of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1965 season with a record of 67 wins and 71 losses, finishing fourth in the JPPL.

The Braves scored 500 runs and gave up 549 runs. Daryl Spencer walloped 38 home runs for Hankyu, while Akiteru Kono and Gordie Windhorn added 15 or more, too. Daryl Spencer drove in 77 runs and topped all regular hitters with a .311 average. Shigeo Ishii led the squad with 21 wins, and Tetsuya Yoneda and Mitsuhiro Adachi also contributed 15 or more victories also Mitsuhiro Adachi registered a 2.74 earned run average, best among qualifying pitchers.
